Scream VI follows Sam and Tara Carpenter, along with fellow survivors Mindy and Chad Meeks-Martin, as they attempt to move on from the terror of Ghostface. This time, they’ve left Woodsboro behind and are living in New York City, where they attend Blackmore University. However, the terror follows them, as a new Ghostface killer begins targeting them and their friends. The movie explores themes of horror franchises and revenge, with a shocking twist that reveals the killer's motive: they seek vengeance for the death of Richie, Sam's previous tormentor. As the group tries to stop the killer in an abandoned theater, more secrets unfold, leading to a bloody confrontation and a final resolution​
